Privacy Policy

Harrington Brands Group ("HBG", "we", "us") operates harringtonbrandsgroup.com. This policy explains what information the website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also covers the email we send to people whose contact details we hold.

Information you give us

• Contact form. Your name, email address and message, and if you add them, your company and website. The form sends your message to our team's inbox. The website does not keep its own copy.
• Event RSVPs. Your name, firm, email address and phone number, the event, and whether you ticked "Keep me informed about Harrington Brands Group".
• Unsubscribe requests. Your email address, the kind of email you unsubscribed from, the date, and your browser's identifying string, so that we never email you again in that category.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Our hosting provider records each request to the site: the page, the date and time, your IP address, your browser type and the page that linked you. We use these logs to run and secure the site and to count visits. They are deleted after 13 months.
• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not follow you across other websites. It does not run on our unsubscribe page.
• Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from automated spam. Turnstile processes information about your browser and device for that purpose only.

Cookies

The website sets no cookies, and neither does our analytics. If you choose to play a video, the video player, provided by SproutVideo, sets its own cookie. A video loads only when you play it.

How we use information

• To answer your inquiries.
• To manage events and send you information about the events you registered for.
• To send news about HBG, including press releases and introductions, to people who asked to be kept informed and to the professional contacts of our team.
• To keep the website secure and working, and to understand which pages are read.
• To honor unsubscribe requests.

Email from us

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply with "unsubscribe". An unsubscribe applies to all future email in that category, and unsubscribing from all email covers every category. We keep a record of the request so that we do not email you again.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with the service providers that run our website and email for us:

• Amazon Web Services, for hosting, storage and email delivery.
• Cloudflare, for spam protection and analytics.
• Microsoft and Google, for our business email.
• SproutVideo, for video playback.
• An email verification service, to check that an address is valid before we send to it.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep information

• Contact form messages. In our email, for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence.
• RSVPs. Until they are moved into our contact list, where they are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Unsubscribe records. Permanently, so that the request keeps being honored.
• Server logs. 13 months.

Security

The website is served only over encrypted connections, and the information it collects is stored privately and encrypted, with access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop emailing you. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law. To make a request, use the contact form on our website or write to us at the address below. If you ask us to delete your information, we keep only what we need to make sure we do not email you again.

Children

The website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Visitors outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and the information described here is stored in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
